Waubonsie Lake Park, Aurora, IL

Waubonsie Lake Park covers 150 acres in Aurora’s Ogden Pointe neighborhood and includes a 21-acre lake stocked for fishing, a 2.8-mile multi-use trail loop, and a 1.5-mile fitness trail with exercise stations. The park contains four picnic shelters with adjacent parking, two playgrounds, a sand-volleyball court, and restrooms open year-round. A boat launch provides non-motorized access for kayaks and canoes, and a fishing pier extends 120 feet into the lake. Mature trees line the shoreline, and the open water creates a visible break in the surrounding residential blocks. The park entrance at Ogden Avenue places it less than two miles from the Fox Valley Mall retail corridor and the I-88 interchange, while the DuPage River Trail connects the property to the regional trail system, allowing residents to reach downtown Naperville by bicycle.
