Westchester Community Park covers 43 acres in central Westchester and serves as the village’s primary outdoor recreation area. The park features a 0.8-mile paved loop trail used for walking and jogging, plus a separate 0.3-mile nature trail that runs along Salt Creek. Two lighted baseball fields, four tennis courts, and a playground with modern equipment are located near the main parking lot on Westchester Boulevard. A picnic grove with six shelters and adjacent restrooms supports group gatherings. The park also contains a community garden with 40 plots and a small sled hill for winter use. Its location places residents within a ten-minute drive of the Oak Brook shopping district and the Illinois Prairie Path, while the Metra BNSF line at nearby Bellwood offers commuter rail access to downtown Chicago.
