Westwood Park, Vernon Hills, IL

Westwood Park covers 43 acres in Vernon Hills and includes two playgrounds, a baseball diamond, a soccer field, and four lighted tennis courts. A 1.2-mile paved loop path circles the park’s central pond, which is stocked for fishing and attracts waterfowl. The park connects directly to the Des Plaines River Trail, allowing residents to reach the 56-mile regional trail system without driving. Picnic shelters, restrooms, and a small fitness court are also on site. The park is two blocks from the Vernon Hills Metra station and within a mile of both Hawthorn Mall and the town’s library and aquatic center, giving homeowners quick access to daily errands and regional transit.
