Willoughby Farms Community Park, Algonquin, IL

Willoughby Farms Community Park occupies 22 acres along the south bank of the Fox River in Algonquin, Illinois. A paved trail follows the river for 1.1 miles, connecting directly to the 40-mile Fox River Trail and providing a flat route for walking, jogging, and cycling. The park contains two playgrounds with equipment for ages two through twelve, four lighted tennis courts, two baseball diamonds, and two soccer fields. Picnic shelters with grills and tables sit near the water, and a fishing pier extends into the river. Restrooms and a 60-space parking lot are located at the main entrance on Algonquin Road. The site is 1.5 miles from the Algonquin Commons shopping center and two miles from the Metra Union Pacific Northwest line station in Crystal Lake.
