Willow Park in Glenview occupies 55 acres between East Lake Avenue and West Lake Avenue, centered around a 35-acre lake. The park contains a 2.8-mile paved trail that circles the water and connects to the North Shore Bike Path, allowing residents to reach downtown Glenview or the Des Plaines River Trail without driving. Fishing is permitted from designated shoreline areas, and the lake is stocked annually by the Park District. Two playgrounds—one at the east end near Chestnut Avenue and one at the west end near Pfingsten Road—serve different neighborhoods. A large open field between the lake and East Lake Avenue is used for soccer and lacrosse leagues in spring and fall. Picnic shelters with grills sit along the northern shore, and restrooms are located at both trailheads. The park is bordered by single-family homes on three sides, so most residents can reach the entrance on foot within five minutes. Street parking is available along the south edge of East Lake Avenue for visitors arriving by car.
