The primary purpose of the HEROES Program is to increase homeownership opportunities for low to moderate income veterans or active military; however, additional income-qualified end-users can be sourced as described below. Qualified end-users, as described below, must occupy properties as their primary residence for a minimum of 3-years. Income-eligible is defined as an individual or family within a 120% of local Area Median Income (AMI). When the end-user is a veteran, active military, first responder, or teacher, properties must be resold at a minimum of 10% discount of the appraised value.
