From the seller…
The moment we arrived, the glorious amber hues of fall and the sunlight sparkling across the lake captured my heart. I knew instantly—this was the home for us.
My wife and I had been searching for something simpler and more comfortable: a modest home with a smaller yard, minimal maintenance, and close proximity to everyday conveniences. This home offered exactly that, with shopping and amenities just minutes away—the bank, pharmacy, post office, Home Depot, Starbucks, and grocery stores—making daily life wonderfully easy.
What truly sealed it for me was stepping out the back door and taking in the peaceful lake view. From that moment on, I was hooked. Even more special, just a quarter mile away is a beautiful church with a quiet retreat area overlooking the lake—a serene place to reflect, pray, and feel a deep sense of peace whenever the heart needs it.
Since our children no longer live with us, the three bedrooms were the perfect fit. Upstairs, a generous flex room became my exercise space, while the office at the front of the house provided an ideal place to work. It also happens to be the favorite lookout post for our fourteen-pound Westie, Cosmo, who faithfully alerts us to every passerby while I spend time writing.
To truly make the home our own, we made thoughtful upgrades. We added a large four-season sunroom designed to fully embrace the lake views year-round. We installed storage cabinets in the mudroom, laundry room, and above every toilet, along with three overhead storage bins and an oversized coat closet in the garage—perfect for storing everything we brought with us as we downsized. Finally, we painted the rooms white, brightening the entire home and creating a fresh, airy feel.
Life here is meant to be enjoyed outdoors as much as indoors. Right out the back door, you can kayak on the lake or cast a line and fish, soaking in the calm beauty of the water and the surrounding nature.
The result is a home that feels just right for a couple or a young family—peaceful, practical, and filled with light. Unfortunately, life events have led us in a different direction.
Take a look.?I’m sure you’ll love it.
