FROM THE OWNERS
When we first arrived here, what we noticed right away was how peaceful it feels. Tucked into the beauty of Big Canoe, this home has been a place where we could slow down, breathe deeply, and truly enjoy our surroundings.
Our favorite space isn’t actually inside the house—it’s the screened porch. It’s where we start our mornings with coffee and end many evenings listening to the quiet sounds of nature around us. From this spot you can see the trees sway in the breeze, feel the fresh mountain air, and hear the gentle sounds of the neighborhood settling in for the night. It’s the kind of place that naturally invites you to pause and enjoy the moment.
Life here also has a wonderful rhythm to it. There always seems to be something happening. Choctaw Village is one of the most social neighborhoods in Big Canoe, and it’s easy to meet neighbors and feel part of the community. Whether it’s a casual gathering or a planned event, there’s always an opportunity to connect.
When we head into town, our favorite spot to eat is Taqueria El Asador. If you enjoy authentic Mexican food made from scratch, you’ll understand why we keep going back. For everyday needs, Lowe’s Foods has been our go-to grocery store because it’s the most convenient.
While we are excited to relocate to Texas to be closer to our family, leaving this home and this community is bittersweet. We hope you’ll find the same sense of comfort, connection, and lifestyle here that we’ve been fortunate to enjoy.
