It's an unassuming house, like that shy male model who wears baggy t-shirts and a ballcap. You don't notice him until you're in the supermarket checkout line and he's on the cover of GQ magazine. Yes, this home has some nice abs. A handsome little ranch sitting on a shady, tree lined north Zion street anyone would love to call home. A short walk to the supermarket from here (walking there is easy, dragging 12 bags of groceries home isn't). Fast food a fast run down the block if you're in the mood. But what about inside this Tyson Beckford wanna-be? Step into the formal, ceramic tiled entry foyer. Every classic home should have a foyer, and this one is no exception. Large foyer closet can handle your rough weather gear, snowshoes, galoshes, and even a beekeeper suit, if that's your thing. Look up and you'll notice this builder didn't waste any space. The cute cubby (above every closet, in fact) is where you hide the stuff you buy on Amazon but don't want anyone to know about (unless they have your password, then the cat's loose). Are the doorways arched? Why yes, it's a detail some long retired craftsman complained about every minute he was building them, until he got done and saw how great they looked. You can enjoy them now. The floor is a rich, dark imitation hickory vinyl. Way better than real wood because this looks like wood but you can relax if your dog urinates in the middle of the room while you're trying to finish watching the American Idol finale. No worries, clean it up when the show is over - that is why it's a great floor. Three very nice bedrooms that feature carpet in just the right shade of gray (it's all the rage right now). And each bedroom has a door to allow both family time (door is open) and me time (door is closed with chair bracing handle). The kitchen - now what a surprise here. Cabinets so new, they still have that new cabinet smell. Great layout that allows for quick access to the refrigerator using your left hand (this will be slightly slower for righties) while rinsing grapes in the sink with your right hand. Once the grapes are sufficiently clean, gaze out the window at the field of emerald green grass that is your backyard (at least to the back fence). Stop looking back there and check out the huge utility room off the kitchen. Room for laundry - for sure. An extra freezer for your stockpile of frozen anchovy pizza's - bring it on. Plus pantry storage. Even space for an ironing board (for younger buyers - a table like contraption used to hold items of clothing while a hot appliance is rubbed over them to remove wrinkles or add fashionable "distressing" burn marks on garments). Let's not forget the bathroom. You will notice neutral toned ceramic tile installed in an off-set or brick pattern as you've seen on the cover of Fine Homes and Outhouses magazine. Eye catching border tile runs below the cute high window that allows light but doesn't get in the water stream. Other features you'd only find in premium bathrooms include a vanity, a medicine cabinet and a fine porcelain toilet (OK, maybe these are in any bathroom, but they are still nice to have here). Out back you have a two car garage with a one car door (who parks two cars inside anyway). The garage is big and ready for whatever you want to throw at it. New door too! Brick patio out back plus a big cement area as well. The roof is newer, the windows are newer. Nothing to do here but love it like a lost poodle you found and returned to the owner for a large reward. This won't last long, so see it and make it your new home today, or tomorrow.
