Designed by Rees Jones and opened in 1995, the layout incorporates the area’s natural pine flatwoods and wetlands, with fairways routed through stands of slash pine and along the edges of preserved wetlands. The course features Bermuda grass on the fairways and TifEagle Bermuda on the greens. Water hazards appear on several holes, primarily in the form of lakes and marsh areas that come into play on approach shots. The routing includes a mix of tree-lined and open holes, with some tee boxes positioned adjacent to existing residential streets within the Sandestin community. Maintenance includes regular aeration and overseeding programs typical of Florida courses, and the facility offers a driving range, practice green, and pro shop. The course is accessible only to members and resort guests staying at Sandestin properties.
