Cross Creek Country Club sits on the outskirts of Mount Airy, North Carolina, among rolling Piedmont foothills. Its layout follows the natural contours of the land, winding through stands of hardwood and pine with several elevation changes. The course is maintained by the City of Mount Airy and is open to the public. Fairways are typically Bermuda grass, and greens are bentgrass. Several tee boxes are available on each hole, allowing players to choose distances that suit their skill level. Water hazards come into play on a few holes, mainly in the form of small ponds and streams. Bunkers are placed strategically around the greens and along select fairways. The clubhouse is a modest brick structure with a pro shop and snack bar. Practice facilities include a driving range with both natural turf and mats, as well as a putting green. The course is generally walkable, though carts are available.
