Gates Four Golf & Country Club sits on gently rolling terrain south of downtown Fayetteville. The course follows the natural drainage of Bones Creek and incorporates several ponds that come into play on the front nine. Bermuda fairways are bordered by tall pines and hardwoods, with thick rough flanking most landing areas. The greens, also Bermuda, are generally elevated and slope away from the center, rewarding approaches that carry the proper distance. Water hazards appear on six holes, most notably on the par-three 8th, where the tee shot must clear a pond that wraps around the left side of the green. Bunkers are modest in number but strategically placed—primarily guarding the front and right edges of greens. The routing alternates between open stretches and tighter corridors where trees narrow the fairways, requiring accurate tee shots. The course is maintained by the same staff that oversees the adjacent Gates Four residential community, ensuring consistent conditions year-round.
