Hidden Waters Golf Course occupies rolling, wooded terrain south of downtown Waupaca. The front nine begins with a straightaway opener that climbs gradually before dropping toward a pond guarding the right side of the green. The second fairway bends left through a stand of mature oaks, and an elevated tee on the third forces a carry over wetlands to a narrow landing area. Fairways are Kentucky bluegrass bordered by native fescue, while bent-grass greens are kept at tournament speed and slope from back to front on most holes. Bunkers are edged with railroad ties on three holes, and a small creek crosses the sixth and eighth fairways, requiring forced carries on both approaches. The course ends with a downhill par-three over water to a peninsula green. Maintenance records show annual aerification each October, and the irrigation system draws from an on-site well. Cart paths are asphalt and run primarily on the right side of each hole.
