Minocqua Country Club sits on the edge of a glacial lake system in northern Wisconsin. Its fairways follow the natural contours of the terrain, weaving between stands of white pine and birch. The course includes several water hazards, including a creek that crosses the 5th and 13th holes. Greens are bentgrass, kept firm by prevailing winds that come across the lake. The layout features a combination of short par-3s and longer par-5s that require accurate tee shots. Bunkers are placed primarily to guard approach angles rather than for visual effect. The clubhouse, built in the 1920s, overlooks the 18th green and serves as the starting point for both nines. Cart paths are paved and connect all holes, though walking is permitted. The property also includes a practice range and putting green adjacent to the first tee.
