Orchard Hills Golf Club occupies a 300-acre tract in Newnan, Georgia, that once formed part of an early-20th-century dairy farm. The course, designed by Joseph L. Lee and opened in 1990, threads through former pastureland and mixed hardwood forest. Rolling, Bermuda-grass fairways follow the contours of the site’s gentle hills, while several holes play alongside a chain of small ponds fed by a tributary of the Chattahoochee River. The club maintains a bent-grass putting surface on every green, and its irrigation system draws from an on-site reservoir. A 22,000-square-foot clubhouse, constructed in 2003, houses a pro shop, grill, and locker facilities. The practice complex includes a 300-yard driving range with target greens, a short-game area, and two putting greens. Membership is private, and the club hosts occasional Georgia State Golf Association qualifiers and local junior tournaments.
