Peninsula State Park Golf Course occupies a wooded site within the 3,776-acre state park on the western shore of Door County. The course follows gently rolling terrain shaped by glacial activity and is bordered by stands of northern hardwoods and occasional limestone outcrops. Fairways are defined by mature oak, maple, and cedar trees that create natural corridors and shade the playing surface. The layout incorporates elevation changes that produce uphill and downhill shots, along with several holes that skirt the edge of the bluff overlooking Eagle Harbor. Native grasses and low-lying shrubs frame many landing areas, while sand bunkers are placed to catch errant shots near the greens. The course maintains a turf mix of creeping bentgrass on the putting surfaces and Kentucky bluegrass on the fairways, both suited to the region’s cool climate. Access is gained through the park entrance on Highway 42, and the facility operates seasonally from spring through late fall.
