Quaker Creek Golf Course is a municipal facility located on Old Hillsborough Road in Mebane, North Carolina. The course was built on former farmland and retains several drainage ditches and creeks that cross the property. Fairways are bermudagrass, while greens are bentgrass and maintained at 0.125 inch during the summer. The layout includes a number of dogleg holes that follow the natural contours of the land rather than being forced into straight corridors. Several holes run alongside Quaker Creek itself, which periodically floods after heavy rain and requires cart-path-only restrictions. The property is bordered on two sides by a Norfolk Southern rail line, and train noise is audible from most of the course. The clubhouse is a single-story brick building constructed in the 1990s that contains a small grill and pro shop. Tee times are booked through the City of Mebane’s recreation department website, and the course uses GPS units mounted on gas-powered carts.
