The Quarry Golf Club, Naples, FL, Real Estate
The Quarry Golf Club in Naples, Florida, occupies a former quarry site where former excavation pits have been transformed into water hazards and landscape features. The course routing moves through excavated stone walls and natural rock outcroppings that remain visible from multiple fairways. Native Florida vegetation, including cabbage palms and saw palmettos, borders the playing areas, while Australian pines line several cart paths. The layout incorporates elevation changes from the quarry floor to surrounding terrain, creating distinct playing zones. Water comes into play on numerous holes through both the repurposed quarry pits and connecting canals that were part of the original mining operation. The practice facility includes a driving range with target greens and a short game area with multiple bunker configurations. The clubhouse structure incorporates design elements that reference the site's industrial heritage while providing standard golf amenities. Maintenance practices follow regional Florida golf standards with attention to heat-tolerant turf varieties suited to the subtropical climate.
