Urbana Golf & Country Club sits on the edge of the University of Illinois campus and is one of the oldest private clubs in east-central Illinois. Several holes play across small creeks that wind through the property, requiring precise tee shots on the par-4 fourth and the reachable par-5 thirteenth. The club maintains bent-grass greens year-round, and the rough is kept at a uniform length that punishes only the most wayward shots. Practice facilities include a short-game area with multiple target greens and a separate range that runs parallel to the first fairway. The clubhouse, a two-story brick structure built in 1926, houses a modest pro shop and a dining room that overlooks the eighteenth green.
