Beardsley Park occupies a 48-acre site on the northwest side of Champaign, bordered by Bradley Avenue to the south and the Boneyard Creek to the north. The park contains a 1.8-mile paved loop trail used for walking, jogging, and cycling, plus several shorter connector paths that link to adjacent residential streets. A large playground with modern equipment, two lighted tennis courts, a basketball court, and three baseball/softball diamonds are located near the Bradley Avenue entrance. Two reservable picnic shelters sit beside a small pond that is stocked for seasonal fishing. Mature oak and maple trees shade the grounds, while open turf fields provide space for informal sports. The park is less than one mile from Interstate 57 and the North Prospect retail corridor, giving residents quick access to grocery stores, restaurants, and the Champaign Public Library’s Douglass Branch.
