Dunmoor Estates Park, Plainfield, IL

Dunmoor Estates Park spans 38 acres of open space with a 1.2-mile paved loop trail that connects directly to the DuPage River Trail system. The park includes two lighted baseball/softball diamonds, six lighted tennis courts, and a playground with modern composite equipment. A 4,000-square-foot picnic shelter with restrooms and drinking fountains serves large groups, while smaller shelters accommodate family outings. The terrain features gently rolling topography with mature oak and hickory trees providing shade along the trails. Parking lots at the Main Street and Renwick Road entrances offer more than 120 spaces combined. The park sits within a half-mile of downtown Plainfield’s shops and restaurants, and the adjacent DuPage River provides additional fishing and kayaking access. Seasonal programming includes youth sports leagues and outdoor fitness classes coordinated through the Plainfield Park District.
