Hawk's Bluff Park, Batavia, IL

Hawk's Bluff Park occupies 38 acres in west Batavia and is reached directly from the Fox River Trail, giving residents a convenient place to walk, jog, or bike without driving. The park contains two baseball diamonds, four tennis courts, a playground with climbing structures, and a large open field used for soccer and casual recreation. A 1.2-mile paved loop circles the grounds, while an additional half-mile of mowed paths lead through a wooded area and along a small tributary of Mill Creek. Mature oak and hickory trees provide shade over picnic tables and two reservable shelters equipped with grills. Restrooms and a drinking fountain sit near the parking lot, which also serves as trailhead access for longer rides along the Fox River. The park is three miles from downtown Batavia’s shops and restaurants and five minutes from the commuter train station, allowing residents to combine outdoor time with errands or travel into Chicago.
