Jericho Lake Park, Montgomery, IL

Jericho Lake Park spans 300 acres of open space in Montgomery, with a 56-acre lake at its center. A 2.5-mile paved loop trail circles the water and connects to smaller paths that lead into wooded sections and open fields. The park includes two fishing piers, a boat launch for non-motorized craft, and designated swimming areas with lifeguards during summer months. Picnic shelters with grills sit near playground equipment and a sand volleyball court. Restrooms and drinking fountains are located at the main parking area. The Fox River Trail runs along the park’s western edge, providing a direct route for cyclists and runners into downtown Aurora, which is less than four miles away. Public bus stops sit within a quarter-mile of the main entrance, and several grocery stores and restaurants are within a ten-minute drive.
