Nesler Road Park, Elgin, IL

Nesler Road Park occupies 22 acres along the Fox River corridor in northwest Elgin. A paved multi-use trail runs the length of the property, connecting directly to the Fox River Trail and providing a continuous route for walking, jogging, and cycling. The park includes two baseball/softball fields with bleachers, two lighted tennis courts, a playground with climbing structures, and a picnic shelter equipped with grills and restrooms. A 1.2-acre retention pond supports seasonal fishing and is bordered by a mowed walking path. Mature trees line the southern edge, offering shade over open turf areas used for informal recreation. The park lies within a quarter mile of the Randall Road commercial corridor, giving residents quick access to grocery stores, pharmacies, and restaurants without leaving the immediate neighborhood. Parking is available at two lots along Nesler Road, and the site is served by Pace bus route 552, which stops at the park entrance.
