South Mill Creek Community Park sits along the Fox River in Batavia and spans roughly 38 acres of open space. A paved trail runs through the park and connects to the larger Fox River Trail, giving residents a direct route for walking, running, or cycling between downtown Batavia and Geneva. The park features two lighted baseball diamonds, a soccer field, two playgrounds, and a large shelter with picnic tables and restrooms. An on-site fishing pond stocked by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources provides an additional outdoor activity without leaving the city. Mature trees line the riverbank and offer shade to the open lawns, while the park’s central location places it within a short drive of the Batavia Public Library, several grocery stores, and the Route 59 Metra station.
