West Main Community Park occupies 22 acres at the intersection of Main and Kirk Roads in Batavia. A 1.2-mile paved loop trail circles the park, connecting to the Fox River Trail for longer bicycle or walking routes. Two lighted baseball/softball fields, two tennis courts, and a basketball court are available on a first-come basis. The playground includes separate structures for ages 2-5 and 5-12, plus swings and a splash pad open from Memorial Day through Labor Day. A reservable shelter with restrooms and electrical outlets accommodates up to 100 people. Mature oak and maple trees line the park edges, providing shade for picnicking. The park is one-quarter mile from downtown Batavia’s shops and restaurants, and it sits one mile north of Interstate 88 via Kirk Road, giving residents quick access to regional employment centers while still offering on-site recreation.
