Buckhorn Springs Golf & Country Club is an 18-hole layout in Valrico, Florida, originally opened in 1988 and redesigned by Ron Garl in 2001. The course sits on former phosphate mining land, which left behind rolling terrain and several elevated tee boxes. Water hazards come into play on eleven holes, including the par-5 9th where a pond guards the left side of the fairway and the approach. The 18th green is fronted by a large bunker complex and a waste area that stretches along the right side. Zoysia fairways and TifEagle Bermuda greens are maintained throughout. The practice facility includes a driving range with both natural turf and mats, a short-game area, and a putting green. The clubhouse, designed with Florida vernacular architecture, houses a pro shop, restaurant, and locker rooms. The property also contains a network of cart paths that connect to surrounding residential streets.
