Country Club of Ocala sits on rolling terrain in central Florida, where bentgrass greens are maintained to USGA specifications and fairways are planted with TifEagle bermuda. The course routing moves through mature live oaks and pine stands, with several holes playing across natural wetlands and retention ponds. Water hazards appear on eleven holes, including a pair of par-3s that require carries over cypress-lined lakes. Fairway bunkering is placed primarily on the inside of doglegs, and the greens are defended by deep, revetted sand traps and subtle contouring that rewards approach shots played below the hole. The practice facility includes a double-ended driving range, short-game area, and putting green adjacent to the clubhouse.
