Druid Hills Golf Club sits on a rolling, wooded tract in Atlanta’s historic Druid Hills neighborhood. Designed in the early 20th century by Scottish architect H.H. Barker and later refined by Robert Trent Jones Sr., the layout follows the natural contours of Lullwater Creek, which threads through several holes. Tall hardwoods and dense undergrowth frame most fairways, producing tight landing areas and frequent elevation changes. Small, firm greens—many set at an angle to the line of play—reward precise approach shots and careful distance control. A handful of short par-4s and reachable par-5s provide scoring opportunities, while a demanding quartet of par-3s over water or into prevailing winds tests accuracy. The club maintains a classic parkland character, with minimal earthmoving and an emphasis on strategic options rather than sheer length.
