Grande Oaks Golf Club occupies a 200-acre tract in Davie, Florida, just west of Fort Lauderdale. The Tom Bendelow–designed layout opened in 1925 as the original Davie Golf and Country Club and retains much of its classic routing, including long, tree-lined fairways and small, elevated greens. Live oaks and cypress stands frame most holes, while several man-made water hazards cross the property, including a pair of ponds that come into play on the inward nine. The club’s 35,000-square-foot Mediterranean-revival clubhouse, renovated in 2017, houses a 90-seat dining room, a members’ lounge, and locker facilities. Practice amenities include a 10-acre driving range with target greens, two short-game areas, and an indoor putting studio. The club maintains a full-time agronomy staff that oversees TifEagle greens and Celebration bermuda fairways. Membership is private and includes access to tennis courts, a fitness center, and a junior Olympic swimming pool.
