Indian Creek Country Club occupies a private island on the Intracoastal Waterway in Miami Beach. The course, laid out by Donald Ross in 1926, follows the island’s natural contours with fairways that shift from open, wind-exposed stretches to tighter corridors framed by mature palms and live oaks. Water borders or crosses nine holes, including the par-3 7th, where the tee sits on a peninsula and the green is guarded by a bulkhead and tidal current. The 15th fairway runs along the waterfront, exposing shots to cross-breezes that sweep off the Atlantic. Greens are TifEagle bermudagrass, kept firm and fast by daily hand-rolling and minimal irrigation. The practice area includes a 360-degree short-game complex and a covered hitting bay, but most members still walk the course with caddies. Membership is capped, and the club maintains its original Ross routing with only minor adjustments to bunkers and irrigation since the 1990s renovation.
