Indian Trace Golf Course in Chatsworth, Georgia, occupies gently rolling terrain at the base of the Cohutta Mountains. The layout combines open fairways with pine-bordered corridors and several elevation changes that affect club selection on approach shots. Water hazards appear on four holes, most notably a pond that guards the green on the par-3 seventh and a creek that crosses the eighteenth fairway. Bunkers are placed primarily to catch drives on longer holes and to protect the front and sides of several greens. The course uses Tifway 419 Bermuda grass on the fairways and MiniVerde on the putting surfaces, which are maintained at a moderate speed. Cart paths follow the natural contours, and drainage systems keep the lower holes playable after heavy rain. A practice putting green and short-game area sit adjacent to the clubhouse, which also houses a small pro shop and snack bar.
