Indian Trails Golf Club sits on a relatively flat tract of land in Grifton, North Carolina, bordered by farmland and a network of drainage ditches. The course layout alternates between open fairways and stands of loblolly pine that narrow some landing areas. Bermuda grass covers the fairways and tees, while the greens are planted with bentgrass. Several holes run parallel to a small creek that crosses the property twice, creating natural water hazards on the front and back nines. The clubhouse is a modest single-story building with a pro shop and snack bar. Cart paths are asphalt and connect all tees and greens. Maintenance equipment is stored in a separate metal building near the maintenance yard. The property is accessed from a two-lane county road with limited signage.
