Mizner Country Club occupies 240 acres of former farmland just west of Delray Beach. The golf course was designed by Arthur Hills and opened in 2001. Rolling fairways weave through stands of slash pine and live oak, while lakes and wetlands define several landing areas. Greens are built to USGA standards with TifEagle bermudagrass, and the putting surfaces are firm and moderately contoured. A driving range and short-game area sit near the clubhouse, which was modeled after the Mediterranean-revival style of Addison Mizner. The property is bordered by the Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge, creating a distinct separation between residential neighborhoods and playing areas. Irrigation is drawn from on-site wells and managed through a computerized central-control system. Maintenance standards include daily hand-watering of greens and weekly verticutting during peak growth periods.
