Pointe West Country Club occupies a 300-acre tract along the western edge of Vero Beach, where the St. Sebastian River bends into a series of oxbow lakes. Designed by Joe Lee in 1993 and opened in 1995, the course is routed through pine flatwoods, sabal-palm hammocks, and reclaimed citrus groves. Eighteen teeing areas and four sets of forward tees allow play from 5,200 to 7,150 yards. The layout moves through open fairways bordered by saw palmetto before shifting to tighter corridors lined with live oaks on the inward nine. Water comes into play on thirteen holes, most notably the par-4 third, which doglegs around a 12-acre lake, and the par-5 sixteenth, where the river forms the left-hand boundary for the final 220 yards. Greens are TifEagle bermuda, averaging 6,200 square feet, and are rebuilt every eight to ten years. A practice facility includes a 400-yard range, short-game area, and video-analysis studio. The clubhouse, finished in 2003, contains locker rooms, a fitness center, and a 180-seat dining room overlooking the eighteenth green.
