Windsor Country Club occupies a flat, open stretch of the Indian River coastal plain in Vero Beach. The fairways follow the natural contours of the former citrus grove, interrupted only by scattered live oaks and shallow swales that channel occasional rainwater toward the river. Most greens are slightly raised and firm, with subtle side-to-side tilts rather than dramatic tiers; run-off areas are closely mown, allowing low-trajectory shots to feed toward the putting surface. A series of man-made lagoons borders several holes, their banks edged with native cordgrass that also serves as rough. The prevailing southeast breeze crosses the property diagonally, changing strength near the water and requiring routine club selection adjustments. Cart paths remain on the perimeter of each hole, preserving clean sight lines between tee and green. The course drains rapidly after summer storms, and the Bermuda playing surfaces are overseeded in winter with rye to maintain year-round turf density.
