The Habitat Golf Course occupies a 160-acre parcel in Malabar, Florida, where a former citrus grove has been converted into a golf facility. The course was designed by Bill Amick and opened in 1997. It features Bermuda grass on fairways and TifEagle Bermuda on greens. The layout includes several lakes that come into play on multiple holes, as well as natural areas of pine flatwoods and scrub habitat. The terrain is generally flat, typical of central Florida, with some gentle elevation changes near water features. A driving range with both natural grass and artificial turf hitting areas is available, along with a practice green. The course is owned and operated by Brevard County and maintains an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary certification, reflecting ongoing efforts to manage wildlife habitat and reduce chemical inputs on the property.
