Designed by Ted McAnlis, a former NASA engineer who trained under George and Tom Fazio, the par-72 layout stretches more than 7,200 yards from the tips (about 7,290 yards from the black tees) with multiple forward options down to roughly 4,275 yards, making it playable for a wide range of golfers. The course features rolling Central Florida terrain, elevation changes, more than 100 natural sand bunkers, water and wetlands on 16 holes, and Champion Bermuda greens updated in 2022; a 2020 renovation earned it recognition as one of the most improved courses in the country. Amenities include a grass driving range, short-game area, GPS-equipped carts, a well-stocked pro shop, and The Nest restaurant. Conditions and reviews have been mixed in recent years, but the layout remains a challenging, scenic test with good value for public play
