Ballantrae Golf & Yacht Club sits along the St. Lucie River in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Designed by Donald Ross in 1924 and restored in 2000, the course features small, elevated greens, narrow fairways, and strategic bunkering that reward precise shot placement. Water hazards come into play on several holes, including a canal that runs alongside the 9th fairway and a lagoon that borders the 17th green. The routing alternates between open, wind-exposed stretches and tighter corridors lined with live oaks and palms. The clubhouse, built in the 1920s, retains original architectural details and overlooks the marina, where members dock boats before or after rounds. The practice facility includes a driving range, short-game area, and putting green. Daily maintenance keeps the TifEagle greens firm and the Bermuda fairways closely mown, creating consistent playing conditions throughout the year.
