Mid Pines Inn and Golf Club occupies a 1921 Donald Ross-designed course in Southern Pines, North Carolina. The 18-hole layout sits on 200 acres of rolling sandhills terrain covered by longleaf pines and native wiregrass. Ross routed the fairways along natural ridges and into shallow valleys, creating elevation changes that influence shot selection on several holes. The original 1921 stucco clubhouse still functions as the inn and contains 47 guest rooms, a restaurant, and a bar that overlooks the 18th green. A separate 2004 golf shop and practice facility stand adjacent to the first tee. The property also includes a 1930s carriage house converted into meeting space and a swimming pool built in 1997. The course’s Bermuda fairways and bentgrass greens are maintained for year-round play, and the property has hosted qualifying rounds for the U.S. Open and the North & South Amateur.
