The course uses the original rolling terrain and several ponds that were already on the property. Most fairways are lined with mature oaks and pines that create narrow landing areas on many holes. Water comes into play on nine holes, usually as small ponds or streams that cut across or run along the edge of the fairway. The greens are a mix of bentgrass and bermuda and are kept at moderate speed. Bunkers are placed mostly around the greens rather than in the fairways, and the sand is fine and white. The routing moves back and forth across the property, so players walk past older dairy buildings and fenced pastures on several holes. The clubhouse is a simple one-story brick building that was converted from a barn.
