Frenchman's Reserve is an 18-hole golf course designed by Tom Fazio and opened in 2000. The course winds through a former mangrove wetland adjacent to the Intracoastal Waterway. Fairways are lined with mature live oaks and sabal palms, and the terrain rises and falls gently between natural water features and preserved marshland. Greens are built to USGA specifications and feature subtle undulations that reward precise approach shots. Multiple tee boxes allow players to navigate around water hazards on several holes, particularly along the back nine where the course runs parallel to the waterway. The layout includes waste bunkers filled with crushed shell, native grasses, and coquina-shell cart paths that reflect the coastal environment. Irrigation and drainage systems incorporate the original tidal patterns of the site, reducing runoff into the surrounding estuary. The clubhouse, completed the same year as the course, overlooks the eighteenth green and provides practice facilities that include a short-game area with varied bunker lies and a putting green with multiple contours.
