Northstone Country Club sits on gently rolling terrain north of Charlotte in Huntersville, North Carolina. The course was designed by Thomas E. Clark and opened in 1996. It features bentgrass greens that are maintained at tournament speeds, and a network of streams and ponds that intersect several fairways, creating natural water hazards on at least eight holes. The layout includes a pair of par-3s that play over water and a closing stretch of three holes that dogleg around the same pond. Mature hardwoods line many fairways, while the 13th and 17th greens sit in small amphitheaters framed by mounding and bunkers. The practice facility includes a driving range with both natural turf and mats, a short-game area, and a putting green adjacent to the clubhouse. The clubhouse itself is a two-story brick building with locker rooms, a pro shop, and a grill that overlooks the 18th green.
