Providence Country Club sits on rolling terrain in Charlotte, North Carolina, with fairways that weave through stands of pine and hardwood. The course was designed by Arnold Palmer and opened in 1989. Its layout features several elevation changes, including a pronounced drop on the fifth hole that forces players to account for wind and distance control. Water hazards appear on nine holes, most notably a pond that guards the approach to the par-four seventeenth green.
