Royal Wood Country Club occupies a compact footprint in Naples, Florida, with its 18-hole layout routed through a flat coastal plain. The course is bordered on two sides by mangrove preserves that provide a natural boundary and habitat for local wading birds. Fairways are planted with TifEagle bermuda grass on the greens and Celebration bermuda on the tees and fairways, maintained at different heights to create distinct playing surfaces. Several holes feature small water hazards fed by shallow canals that run alongside the perimeter, while scattered live oaks and sabal palms frame landing areas without overhanging the primary lines of play.
