Flossmoor Country Club sits on the south side of Chicago in the suburban village of Flossmoor, Illinois. The course was designed by Scottish architect Willie Park Jr. and opened in 1900, making it one of the oldest clubs in the region. The layout moves through mature oak and hickory stands, with several fairways routed along a narrow creek that crosses the property multiple times. A pair of restored prairie remnants remain inside the property lines, adding native grasses and wildflowers to the rough. The clubhouse, built in 1924, is a red-brick Georgian structure that houses locker rooms, a grill room, and a ballroom finished in dark walnut paneling. The club maintains a short-game area with two bent-grass putting greens and a pair of target bunkers, separate from the main course. Flossmoor has hosted sectional qualifiers for the U.S. Open and the Illinois PGA Championship on multiple occasions.
