The Country Club at Wakefield Plantation is a private, member-owned golf and recreational facility located in northern Raleigh, North Carolina. The 18-hole golf course was designed by Bob Moore and opened in 1997. The course winds through mature pine and hardwood forests, incorporating natural wetlands and streams that create varied playing conditions. The clubhouse, a two-story brick structure completed in 1998, houses a full-service restaurant, private dining rooms, locker facilities, and a pro shop. Additional amenities include six lighted tennis courts, a junior Olympic-sized swimming pool, and a fitness center equipped for cardiovascular and strength training. The club maintains a practice facility with a driving range, short-game area, and putting green. Membership is by invitation, with a formal application and interview process required for prospective members. The facility hosts regular golf tournaments, tennis leagues, and social events throughout the year.
