Crown Colony Golf & Country Club occupies 400 acres of former citrus groves in south Fort Myers. The course, designed by Joe Lee and opened in 1991, routes through stands of slash pine and bald cypress, with water hazards on thirteen holes. Fairways are planted with Tifway 419 Bermuda grass, while greens consist of Tifdwarf Bermuda maintained at 0.125 inches. The layout includes elevated tees on five holes, several doglegs, and a pair of par-3s that play over ponds to small, firm greens. A driving range with target greens and a short-game area bordered by a practice bunker sit adjacent to the clubhouse. Membership is equity-based and limited to residents of the surrounding Crown Colony community. Irrigation is drawn from on-site wells and supplemented by reclaimed water from Lee County Utilities.
