Olde Hickory Golf & Country Club sits on the edge of the Caloosahatchee River in Fort Myers, Florida. The course was originally built in the late 1950s and later redesigned by Gordon Lewis, who kept the flat terrain but added subtle elevation changes and strategic bunkering. Water hazards appear on thirteen holes, most notably a large lake that borders the ninth and eighteenth greens. The layout alternates between wide landing areas lined with slash pines and tighter fairways bordered by residential lots and drainage canals. Bermuda grass covers the fairways, while the greens are TifEagle bermuda maintained at tournament speeds. The driving range and two short-game practice greens lie just east of the clubhouse, which retains its mid-century ranch-style architecture. The property also includes a swimming pool and tennis courts adjacent to the main building.
