The course uses the terrain’s natural elevation changes, routing fairways through boulder-strewn washes and across arroyos lined with saguaro, ocotillo, and ironwood. Paspalum greens are kept firm and fast, rewarding approaches that land short and release toward tucked pins. Deep, angular bunkers guard many landing areas, while desert waste areas replace traditional rough, making accuracy off the tee essential. Water comes into play on several holes, most notably a lake that forces a carry on the par-3 17th.
